Sustainable Development Goal Focus
In English this term, we will be looking at descriptive writing and a recount. We will be covering skills such as adjectives, commas in a list and sentence starters.
In Reading, we will be working through our VIPERS skills, focusing on one each week. Children will bring their reading records home each day to record their reading at home.
Spellings will be given out each week, which will be stuck in their reading records, these need practising at home and will be tested on a Friday.
In Maths, we will be using the Power Maths programme, which is mastery approach programme which encourages and sparks curiosity and excitement while giving children opportunities to apply their skills to a variety of problem solving questions.
This half-term in Maths we will be covering the following:
