The Consortium of Selective Schools in Essex (CSSE) hold entrance examinations each year to give pupils the opportunity to attend one of the many grammar schools in Essex.

Schools are not part of the process but we are always happy to help parents and pupils who are looking at this option for secondary education.

The examination takes place at the beginning of year 6 so registration takes place in year 5.  This year, registration opens 16th May 2023 and closes 30th June 2023.
